I was born in Toledo, OH and moved to Medford, NJ when I was 9 years old. I moved again to West Chester, PA when I was 12. I am the youngest of four so my family life has always been pleasurably chaotic. I graduated from Unionville High School in Kennett Square, PA in 1998. I then attended West Chester University where I graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts and a minor in Sociology in 2002. I met my husband Michael Stiles on vacation in Mexico in 2001 while he was attending R.I.T. for Computer Engineering. After Mike graduated, he moved to PA and we were married in 2004. We currently live in Chester County, PA with our wonderful our son, Evan (2) while we await the arrival of our second child, due in December. I have always been interested in art and started taking art classes when I was 8 years old. While I have always been attracted to fine art such as drawing and painting, my favorite class in college was actually a creative writing class I took during my first semester. Chris and I have become very close since I graduated college and spend a lot of time with each other and our families. Most of our activities together at home and in the community focus on our children. We began writing Hiccup Hop after Evan was born and continue to write stories that will hopefully entertain young children for years to come. |
